Determining Length of Lamp Pipe You Need for Your Lamp Project
- Measure the height of your Lamp Body plus the thickness of your Lamp Base.
- Add to these measurements at least 1/4" to accommodate the rubber washer, steel washer and locknut to be placed on the bottom of the Lamp Pipe.
- Generally, the bottom of the Lamp Pipe is the end with 3/4"L threading.
- Allow at least another 1/2" of Lamp Pipe to extend up from the top of your Lamp Body to accommodate a locknut, check ring or vase cap, shade harp bottom & socket bottom to the top of the pipe.
- If you want to add a Lamp Neck or deep Vase Cap, allow even more Lamp Pipe to extend from the top of your Lamp Body.
