DETERMINING LENGTH OF LAMP PIPE YOU NEED FOR YOUR LAMP PROJECT:

Measure the height of your Lamp Body plus the thickness of your Lamp Base.  Add to these measurements at least 1/4" to accommodate the rubber washer, steel washer and locknut to be placed on the bottom of the Lamp Pipe. (Generally, the bottom of the Lamp Pipe is the end with 3/4"L threading.) Next, allow at least another 1/2" of Lamp Pipe to extend up from the top of your Lamp Body. This is to accommodate a locknut, check ring or vase cap, shade harp bottom and socket bottom to the top of the pipe. NOTE: Allow even more Lamp Pipe to extend from the top of your Lamp Body if you want to add a Lamp Neck or deep Vase Cap.
