On/Off Switches for Lamp Cords
Add convenient on/off control anywhere along a lamp cord — these in-line switches install directly onto the cord itself, so you can position the switch exactly where you want it on your lamp.

Install anywhere along the cord – Not limited to a fixed location; place the switch wherever is most convenient for your lamp design.

U.L./C.S.A. listed – Switches "A" and "B" are fully U.L./C.S.A. listed; the component parts of switch "C" are U.L./C.S.A. listed.

Indoor use only – Intended for household lamp and lighting applications.

A) In-Line On/Off Switch – For SPT-1 cord only.

B) In-Line On/Off Switch – For SPT-2 cord only.

C) On/Off Canopy Switch – Push-type switch.

Installation:
1. Remove the screw and nut to open the switch — set them aside, as you'll need them to close the switch once installed.

2. Using a sharp knife, separate the cord where you want the switch placed, cutting all the way through the ribbed side of the cord.
3. Insert the cord into the switch as shown in the diagram.

4. Make sure the cut ends of the cord don't touch and lie flat inside the switch.
5. Press the two halves of the switch back together and secure with the screw and nut.
