Potters Clay, Terra Cotta

Terra Cotta Clay is a low-fire earthenware clay with a warm "Indian Red" color — a smooth, moist potters clay with some fine grog added, making it very suitable for larger wheel throwing and hand-building.

  • Warm "Indian Red" color – Smooth potters clay with fine grog added.

  • Well suited for larger wheel throwing and hand-building.

  • Firing specs: Cone 06 – 9.0% shrinkage, 11.0% absorption. Cone 2 – 11.5% shrinkage, 6.0% absorption.

  • Moist and ready to use – Ready for pottery wheels or sculpting straight out of the box.

  • Packaging – 50 lb. boxes per color (two 25 lb. poly bags per box); must be ordered in multiples of 50 lbs.

  • Drop-shipped directly from the manufacturer in Columbus, Ohio.

  • Shipping within Ohio – Single freight charge of $125 for orders from 50 to 2,000 lbs.

    Shipping outside Ohio – Contact us for current freight rates, as pricing can fluctuate daily.

  • Weather restriction: Clay cannot be shipped when outside temperatures fall below 35°F.

  • Processing time: Please allow 5-10 business days.

  • Please note: Expedited shipping is not available for these items.
