Hummingbird Feeder Tubes & Parts

Turn almost any bottle into a charming hummingbird feeder in just a few simple steps. Choose from our selection of feeder tube styles — Red Floral Tip, Yellow Floral Tip, or Red Soft-Tip — and don't forget a cleaning brush to keep your feeder fresh all season.

How to Install Your Hummingbird Feeder Tube (Drip-Prevention Tips)
Choose a clean, airtight container. Small containers work best — pint-size jars or wine bottles are great options.
Select the right material. Ceramic, glass, or plastic all work well, as long as the container seals airtight once the tube is installed.
Fill with no more than 6 fl. oz. of cool nectar solution. Overfilling can cause the feeder to leak.
Insert the tube fully into the rubber stopper without letting it extend beyond the stopper, then insert the stopper tightly into your container.

Flip the container upright quickly once the tube feels secure, moving it into the hanging position to prevent air bubbles from forming.
Hang your feeder vertically and as straight as possible, in shade or partial shade, to keep the nectar cool — cooler nectar is less likely to drip.
Clean and refill often, especially during hot weather, to keep nectar fresh and safe for hummingbirds.
A note on dripping: Even with proper installation, you may notice an initial stream of nectar or a small amount of dripping at first. This happens because air pressure inside the container pushes nectar down the tube until a vacuum forms — once that vacuum is established, the dripping will stop.
