How to Apply & Fire Decals

Follow these simple steps to apply and fire your decals for a clean, professional finish:

• Soak the decal – Immerse the clean decal in lukewarm water for 20-30 seconds.

• Slide off the backing – Slide the decal from the backing paper and position it on your glazed ware. If it doesn't slide off easily, place it face up on a paper towel for a minute.

• Check orientation – Be sure the decal is applied face-up; otherwise it will burn completely off during firing.

• Remove moisture – Use a soft, damp cloth or decal squeegee to remove excess moisture, making sure all wrinkles and bubbles are completely removed.

• Let it dry – Do not rub or press the decal after it has dried. Allow to dry 24 hours before firing.

• Caution: Do not apply decals on surfaces that come in contact with food or drink.

  Keep decals away from small children unless properly supervised.

  Lead and cadmium may be present in some colors.
